Film

Children of the Silk Road

Children of the Silk Road:
(utkast = denna sång är inte klar ännu)
Now I walk in snow
I walk til my feet are cold
Knowing I can only head forward
To see the suns daylight
Climbing the high mountains
To find my safety
Reaching freedom isn't easy,
but it's not unreachable
Looking at the sky,
feeling my knees tremble as I walk
Marching through the cold
With frozen toes
Every step is hurting more

But I need to be strong
Yesterday I was a boy
Now I must be a man
To manage the struggle
We are put through

Capo1, C9, G, Em7, Dsus4, C

Now I walk in snow
I walk til my feet are cold
I walk the Silk Road
With my frozen toes
I must be brave
and not crumble
I need to close my heart and soul
Not turn around and face evil ground

I am a man today
I shall not fall apart
But the eagle cries in sadness time
I leave sorrow behind
But never forget the pain
To live with the memories
I'll never let them go
One day I will tell the story of the children of the Silk Road
Listen with your heart if you believe it's true
What happened that day,
is long gone for some
But for me it will always stay right here

They told to make a soldier out of me
My friends walked on a straight line
With bamboo sticks in their hands
We barely knew a sword when war came

We were only boys back then
When we made the journay
But as we reached our goal
We had all turned into men
Freedom, what's the price of freedom?
When you turn your back on slaughter and pain
When the struggle of survival turns into something more
When love is shown on the smallest places
When you earn the respect you once took for granted
When you look up to the man who turned you into a ledgen with his death
When that man did everything for you to keep walking I wish to thank him,
The man who lead me through the Silk Road
